We typically find layout is what makes the biggest difference to how the space feels once it’s in use, so it’s worth spending time on how people and play will move across bays and shared areas before construction begins. Materials are chosen for continuous, high-turnover use rather than domestic conditions, and the network infrastructure needs to comfortably support multiple systems running at once. One thing that’s easy to overlook is the team who’ll be running the space day to day, so we like to plan training and documentation as part of the build itself, rather than leaving it until the end.
